Gaelic Football Biltz

October 22nd, 2010 by office in Sports, Uncategorized | Comments Off

TeamOn Tuesday 19th October the under 16 Gaelic team travelled to Cookstown to play in a blitz. The boys performed very well and played three games; winning two and losing one. In the first game they lost narrowly to Sperrin from Magherafelt after Sperrin scored a goal with the last kick of the game. The boys were very disappointed after a very strong second half display. However they regrouped immediately and lined out to play Hazelwood from Belfast, a game which they won comfortably following an excellent display. In the final game, which proved to be extremely close, the boys ran out eventual winners after yet another strong performance.

This was an excellent experience for the boys and had very strong performances from Daniel Fahy, Gavin Kernohan, James McNee, Thomas Meehan, Jake Hamilton and David McWhirter.

Here is a list of all scorers:

David McWhirter – 4 goals and 2 points
Jake Hamilton – 1 goal and 1 point
Reece Devine – 2 goals
Daniel Fahy – 1 point
Matthew Bell – 1 goal
Bryan Gourley – 2 goals
Andrew Burns – 1 point

New way to access C2k My Documents from outside school (works with Vista and Windows 7)

February 11th, 2010 by office in Uncategorized | Comments Off

A service development is now underway to provide a new way to access school folders from outside school. The current method (known as Easylink) does not work with Windows Vista or Windows 7 and causes issues with some versions of IE (and other browsers).

The development will be implemented in phases – and the first phase is now active. This provides a new option for College users to access My Documents which will work for different versions of Windows and browsers. Further developments will enable this access for shared folders (i.e. Learning Resources)

staff and students should be aware that the option requires the download of a security package (called Juniper) and also may require the download of ActiveX components.

Please refer to information sheet A029 which can be accessed via the link below.
