Welcome
The Information and Communications Technology Department (ICT) is the computing and communications facilities and features that support teaching, learning and a range of activities in education.
The aim of the ICT department is to ensure that students gain life-long skills as independent learners and autonomous users of ICT. Students are encouraged to maximise their potential and develop transferable skills to make the most of the wide range of opportunities offered for ICT both across the curriculum and in their daily lives.

Through up-to-date software and hardware our objective it to train all pupils and staff to use a wide range of technologies to gather, store, retrieve, process, analyse and communicate information.
As well as teaching ICT discretely we also use it as a tool to promote accelerated and independent learning. It allows us to cater for all learning styles and is a vital part of teaching in all subject areas.
Student Work of the Month
Year 11 Robyn Millar
“I did this website because my mum is a hairdresser and I thought it would be easy to find information as I know a lot about her business. I really enjoyed making this website because it was different and I was learning new skills. I really hope I get the chance to make more sites in the future.” (Robyn Millar 11DG)
“I am so pleased with the website Robyn created for her mother’s business, it demonstrates excellent web design skills. She has also included some outstanding flash animation, which she created from scratch, this is something you usually only see in some A Level coursework. All in all it is professional and very appealing to a wide range of people. (Miss McKavanagh Subject Leader ICT)
