  1. Newspaper name - usually very clear to give an identity
  2. Date - always found on newspaper and newsletters.
  3. Clear "splash" headline - usually the 'lead' story (the most exiting piece of news. Large font used to stand out.
  4. Subheading - sums up what the story is about to get you interested enough to read on (once you have bought the paper!).
  5. Graphics - clear and colourful to back uo the story. The best graphics are ones that can tell the story on their own.
  6. Sections used - usually sports are on the back, and there may be other section like business and TV.
  7. Headlines - each story has a headline to give the general idea of the story.
  8. Advertisement - how papers keep their prices down!
  9. Caption - information provided about an image.
