The College follows the Religious Education Core Curriculum as set out by the Department of Education and agreed by the four main Churches. Through the programme of study the pupils will become aware that they are unique human beings who have a spiritual dimension. Within Religious Education lessons this will be nurtured and developed as the pupils explore and examine their own beliefs and values.
The pupils are encouraged to respect the beliefs and values of others and learn the importance of living by a set of moral principles. At Key Stage 4 all pupils must complete a Religion course. Those who chose to do Religion will follow the CCEA Syllabus. Those pupils who do not chose Religion will follow a course which could led to a qualification in Religious Studies. The course followed will be either Religious Studies short course or Entry Level Certificate in Religious Studies both set by CCEA. Parents wishing to withdraw their children from Religious Education may discuss this with the Principal.
